The Bower is an enchanting location for youth field trips, where children can explore and discover. We invite local schools, homeschoolers, summer camp groups, and other youth groups to experience The Bower free of charge. Research shows that engaging children in art and nature is critical to their growth and development. The Bower provides an opportunity for youth to learn about native plants and their importance for sustaining pollinators and wildlife in general. Youth will be able to interact with the sculptures throughout the property and may have an opportunity to engage with an artist in residence.
Experience the Bower during the 2019-2020 transitional period. We will be implementing landscape improvements, building structures and placing commissioned sculptures throughout the property. The Bower will be a setting for youth to learn about the process of creation, both artistic and in garden design. Though the project will be evolving during this period, it will still be a great learning experience, so feel free to submit your information if you would like to bring youngsters out to The Bower.
