The Venue

The Bower is an outdoors experience. Feel the calm and well being inspired by the natural setting of the Appalachian Mountains adorned with curated sculptural works and native plant gardens. Whether taking a stroll alone, with a companion, or as part of an event, The Bower will soothe, inspire, and encourage the imagination to wander.

Schedule a Visit

We are excited to have completed Phase 1 work in December 2020. Our first wave of ten sculpture commissions accompanied by new architectural features were completed in late summer 2020. Summer also saw development of several land art forms. New native trees, shrubs, meadow drifts and native plant gardens were planted in late fall 2020.

Although time is necessary for natural growth and development, our trail system is ready for strolling and experiencing the varied spaces throughout this 36 acre site.

Visiting The Bower

The Bower benefits a diverse community of interests. Artists, art patrons, educators and students, gardeners and garden lovers, naturalists and bird watchers can all partake. The Bower is a wonderful field trip destination and unique setting for special events.

Group Opportunities for the future

Are you a non-profit? We want to work with our community to support those who give back. We will be offering The Bower as an event site in the future, so contact us about ways we can help support your group.

Are you an educator or youth group leader? Education for all is at the core of our mission. Bring your groups to our rural setting to learn about art and nature through experience.
