The Venue

The Bower is an outdoors experience. Feel the calm and experience well-being inspired by the natural setting of the Appalachian Mountains adorned with curated sculptural works and native plant gardens. Whether taking a stroll alone, with a companion, or as part of an event, The Bower will soothe, inspire, and encourage the imagination to wander.

For the life learners, we feature an intimate Visitor Center where we both introduce visitors to the site and house reference materials about native plants and our artists.

For talks, presentations and workshops and breakfast and lunch, whether catered or “packed in”, we feature The Bower Bistro, a new small post and beam barn with outdoor table seating.

The Bower Bistro is also used to house food and refreshments offered at our musical events.

Visiting The Bower

Hosting groups is our passion. Past group visits include professional team retreats, garden professionals, micro-weddings, professional workshops, music events, school visits from pre-school through college classes, and various adult groups.

The Bower benefits a diverse community of interests. Artists, art patrons, educators and students, gardeners and garden lovers, naturalists and bird watchers can all partake. The Bower is a wonderful field trip destination and unique setting for special events.

Although we do not offer in-house catering, we gladly will connect you with local vendors that can meet your needs.
